"Tango Consolationis" - Tango des Trostes

Idee und Konzept:

Der
Reiz, so unterschiedliche Genres wie ein evangelisches Kirchenlied und einen
Tango zu verbinden, führte mich zur Komposition des Tango Consolationis.
- Das
evangelischen Kirchenlied „Wer nur den lieben Gott lässt walten“ (1641) wurde
von seinem Autor Georg Neumark (1621-1681) selbst als Trostlied bezeichnet und bildet
damit melodisch und textlich die thematische Grundlage für die Komposition.
- Meine
Beschäftigung mit dem Tango in seinen traditionellen Ausdrucksformen bis hin zu
radikalen Formulierungen etwa eines Astor Piazzollas im Tango Nuevo machte mir
Mut auf der Suche nach einer eigenen musikalischen Unmittelbarkeit mit starken
motivischen Verbindungen, jedoch fern sentimentaler Imitation.
- Kantige Rhythmik
und eine von bizarrer Harmonik aufgeraute melancholische Melodik dürften im Tango Consolationis dennoch zu realem
Tanz animieren.
